Wire Shelving Displays
When planning how you will display your products, or advertise your services, at a trade show, one thing that you will need to consider is whether or not you will need shelving. Oftentimes, booths at trade shows are quite small, especially if you are renting the smaller, minimum sized booth and in that case your space may be better used if you brought along rotating display stands. If you have a lot of products to display, and they naturally fit better on shelves, then you may want to consider at least lining the back of your booth wall with wire shelving. Of course, if you have a bigger booth, then you could use shelving much more extensively.
Wire shelves are great to use at trade shows, mainly because they are usually fairly lightweight, and easy to take apart and put together again. If you are going to use shelving in your booth, prepare for it well in advance. It is very easy for parts to go missing, in between shows, especially if they were not packaged up and stored well during the interim period. It is always a good idea, prior to shipping off or transporting your shelving, to have someone quickly try to assemble the shelving to make sure all the parts are there. If you want to avoid having to do this each time before a trade show, then you should purchase some large storage bags to keep your unassembled shelving in. The best types of bags to use are those that look like tent bags. They are long and you can slide all the poles and shelves inside of them, and they are tied at the top with a drawstring. If you do not have bags for storing your shelving, make sure when the shelves are unassembled, that they are all taped together securely, and that all of the screws are put in a plastic bag, and taped to the shelving.
Bannerstandsrollup.com recommends chrome wire shelving, as it is great to use for trade shows. It is usually fairly lightweight, easy to assemble (and disassemble) and it does not easily rust or tarnish. That is a plus if you do not use your shelving often, as you have the assurance that even though it has been in storage, the shelving will still look good. If you need shelving to hang items from, rather than to display products on, you may want to consider investing in closetmaid wire shelving. As unorthodox as it sounds, I have actually seen it used quite successfully at trade shows. The only problem with this type of shelving is that it has to be attached to a backing, as it does not stand freely. But if you are able to do that, it is a great alternative for both displaying items and hanging items from.
